Live Wallpapers Now: Help


You can set a Live Photo as your Lock Screen wallpaper, and use 3D Touch to activate it at any time:

  1. In the app, choose a live wallpaper that you like and press Save
  2. Go to Photos, select the live photo you’ve just saved and then “Set as Lock Screen”:
    1. when prompted, you can choose to set the image as a Still / Perspective / Live Photo. Select Live Photo
    2. when prompted to set the image as your Lock Screen
  3. On the Lock Screen press and hold for live wallpaper to play.


Important notes:

  • Live Wallpapers can be installed on iPhone 6s & 6s Plus, iPhone 7 & 7 Plus, iPhone 8 & 8 Plus, iPhone X. With other iPhone models they can be used as regular wallpapers.
  • The animation of the Live Photo only works on the Lock Screen

It is not possible to set any live wallpaper to Home Screen with animation.

  1. Make sure you use either iPhone 6s & 6s Plus, iPhone 7 & 7 Plus, iPhone 8 & 8 Plus, iPhone X. Live wallpapers can only be installed on the Lock Screens of these devices. With other devices, which do not support ‘Live Photo’ option for Lock Screens, you can still enjoy endless collection of cool and sticky moving live wallpapers in the app itself.
  2. Check that you set a live wallpaper on the Lock Screen and as a Live Photo ( Then try to play it once again by simply pressing and holding anywhere on the Lock Screen
  3. Check that your device battery ‘Low Power Mode’ is OFF when using live wallpaper on you lock screen (
  4. You might also need to enable to ‘3D Touch’ feature on your device if you did not do that before, or change its sensitivity (
  5. If none of the above worked for you, set the live wallpaper once again via Photos. Keep in mind, that you’ll be offered to install any wallpaper as Still. You’ll need to manually select ‘Live Photo’ option.

If you are experiencing slow download speeds, please check your internet connection. In rare cases, you may find your download is interrupted or slow due to server maintenance.

To save Live Wallpapers tap Save button. You need to gain full access to your Photos library, which means it can see all your photos:

  1. Open the “Settings” app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on the “Privacy” menu item.
  3. Tap on the “Photos” menu item.
  4. Find “Live Wallpapers Now” in the list of apps.
  5. Turn the slider to on (green) so that photo access is granted to the Live Wallpapers Now app.
